Chances are, you are suffering from a condition called Temporomandibular Joint Disorder which is quite common nowadays. Most discover this condition during dental treatments or through their family doctor. The problem is, a large part of this group dismiss it as nothing serious until the condition gets worse. TMJ disorder involves the jaw and the all the ligamentous and muscular attachments involved in the process of mastication, elevation and depression of the jaw and ultimately, any factor that involves the skull and the neck.

Registered Massage Therapy (RMT)is a modality that has been shown to help people with this condition. Since we are trained in soft tissue manipulation, massage therapy has been seen as very helpful in promoting mobility of the muscles surrounding the jaw and the other structures involved that contribute to this condition.
